Benidorm is the city of sun and good weather. However, and although it’s rare, as we have to understand… it also rains. And we know it’s bad luck not to be able to enjoy Benidorm’s beaches, but you may not know yet that there are many alternative plans. Our list of plans for what to do if it rains in Benidorm 👏👏
1. Bowling Alley
On Avenida Mediterráneo, we find Ozone Bowling, a bowling alley with 14 lanes with bumpers if you need them. Plus, a lot of machines to play alone, or challenge your companions to foosball or pool.

2. Cinema
Little to add to the quintessential plan for gray days. In Benidorm, we find:
- Cine Colci Rincón: very close to the campsite. With 6 screens and the only one with movies in original version. Cines Colci Rincón Showtimes.
- Cine Colci Benidorm: with 8 screens, the most famous cinema in Benidorm. It has 7 screens and 3D movies. Cines Colci Benidorm Showtimes.
If you also want to go to the cinema and take advantage of plan 6:
IMF Finestrat: in the La Marina Shopping Center. A large cinema with a VIP room and 3D movies. IMF Finestrat Cinema Showtimes.The IMF cinema in Finestrat is closed in 2023 and 2024 waiting for another company to open a new cinema in the same facilities. We will update as soon as we know.
Remember the discounts (Student or Youth Card, over 65s,…) and enjoy the spectator’s day (at Cines Colci on non-holiday Wednesdays, and at IMF on Mondays and Wednesdays except holidays).
3. Escape Room
As we mentioned in the post about Escape Room, it is undoubtedly a great plan for a day when the weather is not suitable for being outdoors. Here we tell you what it is, what rooms there are in Benidorm and their price.
4. Benidorm Circus
A circus without animals for the whole family. A small circus with all kinds of artists: acrobats, dancers, magicians, and beloved clowns. A true spectacle of light and sound.
5. Medieval Challenge
We are in 12th century England to attend a spectacular medieval challenge for an hour and a half while enjoying a themed dinner. Robin Hood needs help and you are the protagonist of the story. Get discounted tickets at the campsite reception.
6. Go Shopping in Benidorm’s Old Town or Shopping Centers
Benidorm’s center will surely surprise you. From shops with the most luxurious brands, to stores with the best prices. Jewelry stores, craft shops, clothing, and footwear.
And if you’re not one who likes to go shopping, but want to accompany your loved ones, you can wait in the Basque Area, having a tapa and trying the Alicante D.O. Wines.
If you prefer shopping malls, at the La Marina Shopping Center there are hundreds of stores, a dining area, and leisure facilities with a bowling alley, children’s playgrounds, and a cinema. Remember that parking is free, but you can also get there by city bus or the TRAM – Alicante Tram.
7. Library
It’s open all year from 9 AM to 8 PM, except in August when it’s open from 9 AM to 2 PM. There’s a special room for children, where they can read at tables or in a less formal special area.

8. Day Trip to Alicante
Take the TRAM, enjoy a tram ride along the Alicante coast, and get off at the MARQ – Archaeological Museum of Alicante stop.
The Museum is divided into several permanent halls: Prehistory Hall, Roman Culture Hall, Iberian Hall, Middle Ages Hall, Modern and Contemporary Culture Hall. There are also thematic rooms: Excavating in a Church, Excavating Underwater, and Excavating Underwater. Additionally, there are multiple temporary exhibitions. Here you can check the rates.
After visiting MARQ, you can do some shopping at Primark or El Corte Inglés.

9. Mendoza Wineries

10. Camping Armanello
Why not relax in your bungalow or on your pitch?
We adapt the animation of the campsite and do activities in the Social Club. Or come to the supermarket, buy supplies for an afternoon on the couch and enjoy the international channels in the bungalows or pick up a book from our camping library. Or take the opportunity to have lunch or dinner at the restaurant.
When the weather is bad, good plans are the answer.
